A Stockholm for all parents
By Peter på SMULA · 28 June 2026
Having children changes everyday life – no matter where in the world you come from.
Through my work I travel a lot and have the privilege of meeting people from many different countries. One thing that always comes up is that parenting looks very similar, regardless of language, culture or background.
Everyone wants to be able to find a changing table when it's needed. Everyone wants to know if a place works with a stroller. Everyone wants to find fun outings and feel safe when they are out with their children.
At the same time, Stockholm is an international city. Families from all over the world live here – people who have chosen to build their lives here and who every day try to make everyday life work in a language that might not be their own.
That’s why we have taken an important step for SMULA.
We have now translated the entire app and website into English.
But we don’t want to stop there.
We will also continue to ensure that all new content in SMULA is translated into English – from places and guides to outing tips, blog posts and other information.
From now on English is a permanent part of SMULA. Whether you use Swedish or English you should be able to access the same content and have the same experience.
For us it’s not just about language.
It’s about inclusion.
About making everyday life a little easier for more families and ensuring more people feel at home in Stockholm.
SMULA has always been about making life easier for parents.
Now we’re doing it for even more.
Our vision is simple:
A Stockholm for all parents.
Because when information is available to more people the city also becomes more accessible. And that’s exactly the future we want to help build – one small smula at a time. 💛
