Looking for a full-day outing in Karlstad? Then Mariebergsskogen is an obvious choice. There's something for both little and big kids – whether you want to play, meet animals, grab a coffee or just enjoy a cozy day together.
In the popular Lillskogen the children can visit several different animals, and the area also offers large playgrounds, lovely walking paths and pleasant green spaces. During the summer the popular park train also runs, taking you around the whole park for about 50 SEK per person – a fun way for the little ones to explore the area.
When it's time for a break there are several cozy cafés, ice cream kiosks and restaurants where you can have coffee or a snack.
